Tom Calvert (aka Redinho) produced Swet Shop Boys’ (featuring Riz Ahmed) debut album Cashmere which reached #1 on the iTunes Hip Hop Chart and charted on Billboard. With the group Calvert performed on The Colbert Show (NY), Coachella and sold out shows at Scala (London) and Webster Hall (NY). He also produced the soundtrack for Riz Ahmed’s Academy Award-winning short film The Long Goodbye, which won “Best Live Action Short” at the Oscars 2022.
As a performer Tom has toured the world, firstly as a solo artist playing at major festivals such as Sonar, SXSW, and Pukelpop alongside artists such as Sophie, as well as working as Warp artist Hudson Mohawke’s musical director which included tours in the US, EU and Japan.
Tom produced two solo singles (Mmm Mmm and Snake Skin Boots) under the name Redinho which were consecutively crowned Annie Mac’s “Hottest Record In The World” on BBC Radio 1. Tom has released solo records on a variety of labels, including a full-length album on Glaswegian label Numbers, Fools Gold (NY) and produced for and collaborated with artists including Grammy award-winner Kimbra, a full-length album with Σtella on American label Sub Pop, Joel Culpepper, LA rapper Blimes, and is signed to Warp Publishing.
